Little Bird Pilates Group Classes

ALL CLASSES

  • Classes last 60 minutes.
  • You don’t need to bring anything except a little curiosity. Come in your gym kit and socks, and everything else is provided.
  • Exercises change every week. Some weeks you’ll work with your body weight and a mat, and other weeks you’ll work with various accessories, such as small and big balls, elastics, circles, rollers, balance pads and more.
  • Instruction is in both French and English.
  • You’ll get a full-body workout. You will work all of your muscles (and probably discover some you didn’t know you had!) and move your body through various planes of movement.
  • You will work hard, have fun and feel lighter, longer and stronger afterward!

 

PILATES MAT CLASSES

  • I'll use the fantastic movement system that good-old Joseph Pilates developed all those years ago to lengthen, strengthen and tone your body from the inside out.
  • You'll be using a mat, some wonderous and weird props, (don't worry, everything's provided), to improve your balance, breathing, posture, coordination and overall body confidence for 60 minutes!
  • You'll also learn how to get more out of each and every part of your body as you bring more awareness of your whole body connections, better breathing and the mind's ability to visualise.
  • These classes are fun, varied, dynamic and challenging and open to people of all ages and all levels of fitness.
  • You may find there’s a lot to take in, so stick with it for at least 3-5 lessons to begin to feel comfortable with the movements and feel the benefits.

If you want to learn how to stretch and strengthen your muscles all at the same time, which will make for an efficient, effective, whole body workout, then this class is the one you want!

ACTIVATED CORE CLASSES

I'm a rehab specialist and an intelligent movement geek. If you'd see how I help people privately and how much I LOVE human body mechanics take a look here.

With that in mind, here's how I bring all my knowledge and experience together for dynamic and transformative group classes:

  • Using the most common complaints that I see in my therapy sessions as inspiration, I'll take you through 60 minutes of multidisciplinary, intelligent movement.
  • You'll recognise moves from Pilates, Judo, Football, Swimming, Ballet, Gymnastics, Skiing, CrossFit and many more as I continue on my journey of to getting my own body to fully functional and optimised.
  • I love novelty and variety, as do most human bodies! I'm constantly studying, reading, researching and trying new things that will make your body stronger, take away your aches and pains, and allow you to move better.
  • I work around a different theme every month, like Pelvic Floor health, or fully-functioning feet etc, and
  • This class is open to all levels of ability and is good for 20-200 years-of age :)

LIVE VIRTUAL GROUP CLASSES

  • We'll do between 35-45 minutes of back to back, intelligent movement.
